ARIZONA HISTORIC PRESERVATION CONFERENCE:
Planning the Past, Preserving the Future
June 25-27, 2024
Registration

This year's conference theme pays homage in a playful manner to Prescott, Arizona's Master Planning initiative, "Preserving the Past, Planning the Future." In 2024, much like Prescott and other municipalities, the Arizona State Historic Preservation Office finds itself engaged in a comprehensive planning endeavor. The concept of "planning the past" emphasizes the strategic foresight required for effective heritage preservation. It aligns with the preamble of the National Historic Preservation Act, which underscores the federal preservation program's primary aim: providing "a sense of orientation to the American people" for the future.
