Travel through the history, stories, and significance of this iconic highway as we explore a road that helped shape Arizona's past. J.J. Lamb, President of Vail Preservation Society will take us on a journey on Arizona's section of Hwy. 80 where every mile has a story to tell. Along the way, we will discover how communities can work together to preserve historic Hwy 80, its local resources, and their stories.

Presenters

J.J.LambJ.J. Lamb is co-founder and President of the Vail Preservation Society. She is University of Arizona graduate, attended the AASLH Seminar for Historical Administration (SHA) and is recognized for projects that build a sense of place and community stewardship. J.J. serves on the Tucson-Pima County Historical Commission, the Arizona Preservation Foundation Board, was named an Arizona Culture Keeper in 2011, and Arizona Friend of the Humanities in 2020. She served on the Tucson Preservation Foundation Historic Hwy 80 working group leading to its Arizona Historic Road designation.
